The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, we bought a lobster, two tuna steaks, two oysters, and a dozen large prawns all for £23 which we thought was good value.
We enjoyed the lobster and prawns in the evening, we will have the oysters today and I will take the frozen tuna steaks home to Bedfordshire to enjoy later this month.
The only disappointment was that I couldn't buy any kippers.

All fish portioned at whatever size you want by lovely knowledgeable staff
The young lady told us what all the fish was and even had a chat about how to cook some I hadn't had before. ????????

Grimsby does not have a pull as a venue for visitors, but if you are within an hour of here, come.
There must have been at least 6 fishmongers on full tilt, deliveries filling up a fleet of small vans and I felt somewhat intimidated, as it looks a bit wholesale. However, overcome this hurdle.
I just passed by to see what was fresh, and there was a cooler full of the most ridiculously fabulous fish, not the widest selection, but I wouldn't want anything that was not the best.
Epic.
I had two awesome fillets of the most beautiful codling. I've caught fish and have had many others that I haven't and this was as good as being caught on the beach and cooked there and then.
These chaps and chapesses are going a great (and steady) job looking at their deliveries, with what I can only assume is an awesome local reputation looking at the poor delivery guy straining under the weight.
The company does not have a flash website, much of a presence on social media or online, and they may not even notice this review, but who cares; they are probably prepping fish, and if not, they should be in the pub as they deserve to be there, as they are doing a great job.
Come here.
Grimsby, yea, I know (*ducks*), but come here and buy the best fish that you will ever find.
