Restaurant has moved to the burj al arab. The food was terrible. Had their prix fixe menu. first dish was scampi linguine extremely fishy and salty. second dish was risotto extremely al dente (not bad) but the prawn was extremely fishy stinky and salty. third dish tagliolini w fish tartare also fishy salty and stinky. black cod was same as the previous. dessert was good. overall food was terrible and the seafood was not fresh at all, hence fishy and foul smelling. do not waste your time here. there are way better food spots for way less money. Service was great though. Will never go back even at there origibal calabria location. chef andrea was there on site. cant believe this has passed quality control and taste test….

I love Italian food and this place does it so well.
It’s modern feeling decor with authentic Italian tastes and contemporary styling and presentation.
The front of house staff know the food well and can tell you what the dishes are all about and which wine/drinks to have with them.
The antipasti we had were sea bass and rare beef dishes which are good.
The chicken linguine is excellent, and has so much flavour
I ordered a semifeddo for desert course and it was very good.
You should book this place quick if your at the Rixos as it’s hard to get into in our opinion.
The children are catered for here also with their own menu

The wait time, coming from the waitresses is the slowest in town. Awful!
They ignore you as if you don’t exit.
The food: pizza is good… well better be for an Italian restaurant.
The Caesar Salad: awful! They dump chicken wings, probably from the buffet into ur salad!!!

Visited L’Olivo Italian Cuisine restaurant in January 2023.
Everything ordered was incredibly delicious - antipasto and salads as appetizers, spaghetti bolognese and avocado risotto, then the desserts.
Separately, I want to note the Quinine service, for detailed recommendations on dishes and wine selection. also special thanks for the care manager Vikas.

Beautiful experience of Italian cuisine while staying at RiXos Saadiyat….Ken the waiter was very good & helped to choose the right options . Great ambiance & atmosphere.

Standout Italian cuisine on par with DIFC’s swankiest. Don’t miss the outstanding pizza and ridiculously good asparagus risotto!!!
