Fantastic ????u200d????????u200d♀️my favourite part of the Wirral with the best of views, the freshest of air & hardly any people.
And those folk you do encounter down in these parts nearly all have a smile and say a friendly hello...????

A serene place to walk, with picnic tables at the car park for meeting friends or just to sit and relax. If you're treading out in to the marsh area toward Sheldrakes and the boatyard then BRING WELLIES! Oh, and be careful too, the footing can be treacherous!

Medium sized car park that was empty when I visited. A path leads down to the front. If you're looking for a sandy beach you'll be disappointed. It's just grass and reeds. Path lead off and probably you could walk up to Banks Road and beyond.

The only reason I'm giving "Heswall Beach" just three stars is that calling it a beach is wildly optimistic. It is a quiet, atmospheric spot on the Dee though, and interesting to see the half overgrown remains of a promenade wall and steps, which quite possibly did once lead down to a sandy beach - perhaps a vision of the future for residents of Meols and Hoylake.an interesting place for a walk, but wellies are highly recommended!

Good spot for birdwatching and a picnic.Beach is not sand its Saltmarsh stretching almost across the Dee to Wales.

With stunning views to The Welsh coast, The Irish Bay and Parkgate you can immerse yourself watching the wildlife or take in the air and walk for miles and miles, shame the local sailors and fishermen have used it for a boat dump contamination from these eyesores is spoiling a place of natural beauty, shame on them.

Beautiful to sit in your car and take it all in.

It is spoilt, marred by selfish drivers whom park up here and blast their radio's. Such a shame it's a gorgeous place otherwise.
