We went with my wife in this place because we heard that there was a Jamaican/Sierra Leone restaurant inside called west to west kitchen. We wanted to try this kind of food. We were not disappointed! The tastes were so nice. And quite spicy like my wife likes it. Highly recommended to come here.

Great concept for up and coming restaurants.

Went to the West to West kitchen, had the best Jerk Chicken and coleslaw there. Chicken fell of the bone. Do yourself a favour, just go and experience homemade 5 star flavours, and imagine you in the Caribbean.

Good corner that have variety of food ???? ????.. burgers ????, sushi ???? ????, shawarma, sea food ????and ect .. little people were there and this was my first time there too.. I ordered from ( blu chkn ) resturant and i tried mamaa mia chicken burger and classic chicken burger.. it was yummy and crispy.. but both had the same taste except the sauce.. so I advise you to take the classic burger and add different sauce as a side.. because sauces costs around 3 DHs per each.. also i tried cheesy French fries ????.. which was good too.. good luck and highly recommended..

Urban Retreat is a cozy place to eat or chill with your colleagues or family. Live music also available on the weekend.
I came here for having dinner at Off The Hook Restaurant. Their "Awesome Threesome Crabs Package" is to die for, well seasoned with OTH Speciality Sauce. Crab balls is so soft and delish.

We loved @Brajlovic_uae Bosnian Restaurant . Recently opened. Their Bosnian pies, soups and bread were delicious. A hidden gem on the Urban Retreat food court. Highly recommended.

I started this review at 3 stars and finished it at 2. Interesting place with a "Last Exit" vibe. Decent choices but cash only.

I ate at firefly and the burger buns was 300% too large and the patty was frozen. Not that impressed for 50aed.

Rotating street food vendors. A great concept. I found a Jamaican/Sierra Leone combo place with excellent jerk chicken. More goodness to come. Worth revisiting often as vendors change frequently.

I came to UrbanRetrEAT when it had a nice full set of pop-up restaurants last year, and it was so much fun. The food was delicious, the place brimming and the vibe was pleasant.

It's been a while since then, and when I came back again recently, I'm shocked to find the place changed. More than half of the good pop-ups have closed down or replaced by others, which serve such mediocre quality of food.

There were only two places that seemed popular (Off the Hook and the Bosnian Kebabs) but the rest didn't look appealing or were just plain bad (the Mexican place wasn't exactly Mexican...). Also, a few of the kitchens that were supposedly operating weren't manned by anyone. It was just left empty, with no sign or hint of life that staff were on a break.

Honestly, after my first experience, it's such a disappointment so see it so bland today. I hope management relook at how to vibe up the place again— the potential is clearly there.
