The 99 bus serves the ferry. It runs as a circular through Tilbury town by the station to Asda, where connections can be made for Grays. But consult the timetable first as later ferry sailings and 99s haven't got an onward 66 connections.

Use the ferry to gravesend often have a day out with the lads and enjoy the food and a few.beers always a good day the ferry is a great way to travel great value and the two man crew are always curteous and obliging

It's a way to get to Tilbury Fort without having to go through Tilbury! The ferry, not the bus terminus. Pop over from Gravesend, it's a much more interesting historic port town. Spoiled only by the half-hourly service being interrupted at 14:30. Walk to the fort and marvel how gunpowder technology transformed these marshy watelands into frontier defence of the capital.
