Great example of a proper pub. Good drink selection at great prices with very friendly and welcoming staff and regulars. Lots of entertainment on the weekends and happy hours through the week.

In answer to Richard Athertons post re the star & Garter. I was sitting at the the bar at the time of you entering the pub and I can assure you there wasn’t anyone smoking In the bar at all! There may have been someone using a VAP which is permitted !
I’m not sure how you would know if the tables were sticky as you didn’t even take a seat.!! You seem to be upset because the Star doesn’t sell real ale! And then to give a false and unwarranted review. Anyone who has read Richard’s reviews please treat it with the contempt it deserves and come and visit the pub as it is one of the best pubs in the town!

Proper locals pub but always welcoming to new faces. Decent choice of beers at reasonable prices, selection of chunky rolls for sale behind the bar. Pool table and live music played quite regularly.

Proper pub..beautiful listed building in Droitwich Spa..legend of a landlady & daughter team professional, bubbly, welcoming, friendly but strict..zero tolerance approach really really turned this pub around. Great staff, delicious rolls to eat in or takeaway. Old but modern look, old photos of Droitwich..very homely & clean. Pool room, tv’s, jukebox, garden..entertainment ie singers, quizzes, raffles..obviously great selection on beers & wines...at normal prices so affordable. Welcomes old & new faces of all ages.
You need to try before you listen to the old rumours, gossip of fights etc..that was in all the past and a lot was untrue.
If your unsure about COVID-19 don’t be..very very strict in fact one of the strictest pubs locally...track & trace, cleaning, in & out entrance & exit. Massive achievement & congratulations great pub!! Great little local cheers. Please support this pub.

The service here was outstanding!
I'd been loitering out front for barely 3 mins when I was shepherded inside with such efficiency that I let out an involuntary "baa"
They made me "swear on my babys life that I had no kids" before they sat me down in front of an uncooked partially opened tin of Lamb Fray Bentos. I was offered a straw to consume it as a sand timer was placed in front of me which I deduced would last about 7 minutes.
Nuff said
