Place is a 1 stop grocery and Filipino hot food,panlasang Pinoy restaurant. .Toilet is available. Paid parking in the front always available. Videoke is also available if you love to sing located in 1st floor .

They have poor security service! Today, I lost my item that I hand over to the baggage counter they didn’t give me customer number and was told to just place it on top of the counter. Only to find out after checking the CCTV camera that my item was already stolen by an unknown customer. There was three staff standing over the counter but none of them was checking who is taking customer items. My concern is, what if this happens to other customers who have more valuable items and no one of them pays attention their job. Really disappointing, hoping that other customers will not experience the same situation.

It is a very convenient place for mainly Philippines products. Also, they offer other brands, but their main customer base is Philippinos only.

Filipino and Asian Groceries...almost all you need in the kitchen is here...there is pork also, and some sweets. They have food stalls also on the side, and a food court upstairs.

Fantastic stay at the Bar convent whilst visiting York and friends. Will definitely be back. Hospitality in all ways was fantastic and staff were so welcoming and lovely. It is really close to the city centre and room, food and facilities were all great. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I also enjoyed chatting to other guests. This visit was a little rushed due to work commitments but I definitely want to come back for longer and spend time relaxing in the lovely garden with a good book- the weather (thunder and lightning) didn’t allow it this time but will certainly come back for a peaceful break in future. I really appreciated being able to store my luggage on the day I left so I could go into the city centre. I used to live in York and still love the city so I think I shall make this my little retreat when I need time out. Thank you to all.

Lovely 2 night stay. The room was very nice and the breakfast good. Close to the station and to town. The Chapel is beautiful. Will definitely come back again.

Great historical convent with plush rooms. Breakfast was wonderful, the people were great and the museum is worth going through. I do wish checkout was later than 10am however. I don't know I've paid that much for a room and had to leave so early the next day.

A unique place to stay. Clean, cosy rooms and friendly staff. The place is an active convent and seems to be very busy with lots of visitors. The breakfast was very good. There are lots of small stairs and ceilings and doors are very low as a result of the age of the property.

Beautiful string for a meeting, worksop of function. Lovely cafe area with sky roof. Peaceful gardens for reflection or chat with others Thank you and would visit again.

I happened to stop by after walking past it a few times not realizing it was a museum as well as a gathering place. The self guided tour was amazing. So much offered to tell the history. Multimedia.

First time to York
The Covent is a well run and very pleasant place to stay.
Staff helpful and friendly.
Communications very good.
Rooms neat and tidy.
The exhibition is very interesting and important to visit as it gives a glimpse into the penal law period of history.
The chapel is pleasent and holds the relic of St Margaret Clitherow a local women executed for suspected treason against Queen Elizabeth I. Her hand and other relics are protected in the Chapel. Also a priest hole.
If I return to York I would definitely stay again.

Table of 10 of us. Bright and cheery room. Great menu, fairly priced. Friendly service. Had Rosti with bacon, mushrooms main and apricot crumble pud.
