We enjoyed a good hour exploring the garden, just over the road from the sea shore. Sunny and shady parts to the garden. Mixture of shrub planting and perennial borders with streams and pond. Lots of roses and azaleas.

A private house but they have opened their garden to the public, set in about 5 acres and on many levels. Very impressive variations of rhododendrons in many colours. Lots of borders and walling in local slate. Be very careful on wet days as slate can be very slippy, as signs will also warn you. A natural waterfall has been used and diverted to different areas giving brooks ( I guess burns would be better) and ponds. Lots of quirky things to spot. The beautiful house is private and if you are lucky you will bump into the owner and get the houses history. Give yourself an hour to hour and a half, there are no refreshments or toilets, at our time of visit it was £5 pp. (May 2022) dropped into an honesty box.

Surprising garden, loads of hidden depths, views, spots and lovely plants and flowers. When we walked in, we questioned the £5 charge, but two hours later we didn't! Beautiful house too.

This is a small gem of a garden, looking out to the islands to the south. Fine rhododendrons and azaleas give a fiery display this month. There are lovely nooks and corners to discover as well. Well worth a visit on its own, you can also walk around the picturesque conservation village of Ellenabeich and visit the Slate Islands museum to discover the history of the area.

Lovely garden, open for charity daily during the summer. Not a huge place, but a very pleasant spot to spend 30-45 minutes exploring.

Delightful gardens open between 1st April and 31st October. We enjoyed wandering through the different areas with glorious views over the Atlantic ocean. If you’re visiting the Isle of Seil be sure and pay a visit. There is a small entry charge which I understand goes to a cancer charity.
