Approaching the church from the bottom if the hill, the unusual east tower makes the site seem far higher than it is, climbing steeply up the slope.
The interior is rather atmospheric, the roof timbers particularly impressive. The 14th century font 16th century screen and an early 20th century ashlar baptistery with iron gates to stone steps are particularly notable features.
Most unusual is the presence of a baptistery in an Anglican church, one allowing full immersion. Its addition is considered to have been influenced by the strong Baptist tradition in the surrounding area.
