Doesn't look like a museum, but it definitely is. Loads of genuine artifacts, friendly staff. 3 floors. Took about 30-45 minutes. Tickets £5 adult, concession £2.50 child £1. Pay on arrival Parking side of building. Recommend a visit if you are in the area or interested in aviation.

Wow, what a fantastic place, the guy on the desk was great and who knew you could cram so much history into one small historic building? The history was fascinating and showed how important the airfield was in its operational years. With even some interesting books taken away. Finally the museum is not temporarily closed, check with the museum directly for the opening times!

Museum in the old commander house, split into 5 rooms with lots of collections of fighter aircraft models, war posters, rationing books etc. We took the Epping Ongar steam railway to North Weald and spent over 1 hour visiting the museum as part of a day trip. We could have spent more time if we had more time. Recommend to visit.

Really great little museum. £5 for adults. Kids are free. Lots of interesting items (all donated by local people) covering the entire history of North Weald Airfield, mainly the RAF but also US and Canadian pilots based there during WWII. Guy on the desk seemed very knowledgeable and keen to share that knowledge. I got the feeling they need the support of visitors to survive after the pandemic forced them to until mid 2021. If you're nearby, make sure you drop in. Went there with my mother in law and my 8 year old daughter, who said: "I really like the little model planes."

A great place to vist on Saturday and Sunday. The museum is in a small house. Very interesting history of the RAF in Southeast. Shows where all the WW11 Airfield use to be. If your interested in the RAF. Well worth a visit and it's walking distance to epping & Ongar steam railway.

An intetesting memorial to the pilots and airmen based at North Weald, 111 squadron, the Black Arrows, the lysander squadron flying agents to France, the Norwegians, ....

This is a charming intimate well stocked little museum and the man on duty there was knowledgeable and passionate about the contents. The Airfield itself is a few minutes drive away from the museum and is not signposted so you need to ask for directions.
