Not a massive train fan unlike some people there. But really enjoyed the rides and bonus beer festival was on. Definitely would visit again and hopefully there be steam trains running . As I was there for the diesel gala. Well maintained and kid friendly

A nice experience & one I have to do everytime I'm in the area! Immaculately kept & on time!! A diesel & a steam train run the timetable but I always pick the steam!
£18 return ticket from Corfe to Swanage which feels steep but I'm assuming every penny goes to the railway & therefore completely understandable.
Thank goodness that this is being so well kept & maintained by the proud volunteers as its a wonderful thing to have.

Brilliant old-school steam train journey to Corfe Castle. It is an impressive feat of engineering and even more impressive, is the
maintenance required to keep this steam train going. Well done! You can tell the train is very well looked after.

The train is dog friendly, provided you purchased a dog 'woof' ticket. It was an amazing experience/ride through the countryside, arriving at Corfe Castle. The stations and platforms are original and have the same classic feel. Brilliant.

My favourite heritage railway, catch a train from Swanage, a stop at Corfe for a stroll around the castle and lunch, then a relaxing ride back to Swanage admiring the marvellous view.

A wonderful heritage railway that runs steam trains between Swanage and Norden (just north of Corfe Castle), with a dedicated band of volunteers, lovingly restored stations and trains and a friendly feeling all round. What more could you want than an ancient castle, beautiful sandy beaches and smiling, helpful staff?

Located in the busy town centre, parking is difficult. Large paid car park is 10-15 minutes walk away. Buses stop right outside the station entrance where many people wait. Having said that, the railway is great and the station itself is lovely.

I like the diesel gala with classes 17, 2x50, 40, 45, 73, 47 & 33 running up & down the line between Swanage, Corfe Castle or the river Frome. They have a lot of people in one weekend, than most other days or weekends.

Lovely nostalgic trip to Swanage on the steam train. The station is beautifully kept, and clean.. a real step back in time with hand controlled signal box
