What an amazing place to visit. If you like model railways, historical depictions of Oxfordshire life or even detailed modelling you will be blown away by this museum. Dad and I spent 4 hrs in the blink of an eye here, ending with a great cuppa. And to think it's been going for decades,, great knowledgeable passionate staff too.

Wonderful museum of dioramas and trains based on actual building a young Australian (roye english) saw on his arrival. From there he started building and getting others interested and helping. The building and scenes are all set in the Vale of the White horses from around the 1920s/30s. Everytime you look, there is a new detail you notice. The models are in exquisite detail. The volunteers are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. There is car parking and a little cafe and shop on site. This is a gem of place, do support and visit it.

Fabulous scenic model railways. The details put into the scenes and the trains and carriages, are incredible. Made by many highly skilled hobbiests across Great Britain, over the past 80 years.

I was looking for something to do during a rainy and found this nice little museum. It was very impressive to see how much details there was and how well it was made. The staff was so nice and friendly too. I was just hoping there was more (even smaller) to see as I could have spent more time inside.

Small museum with impressive models and tiny details. The audioguide was interesting, explaining how people lived at this time. Front staff was very friendly.

Fantastic museum with a rich history. The models and the history are very interesting and the volunteers are extremely passionate about the place and the project. A little disorganized when selling tickets and sorting people out at the entrance way but otherwise it was great.

Superb example of fine modelling. Such a lovely visit for all ages to discover how life was in the early 20th century. The welcome is always warm, and the staff are so informative and interesting.

There`s a really handy audio guide if you wish to listen as you wander. It's not a big place, and can be covered fully in a couple of hours. Small cafe serving hot & cold drinks plus a few snacks is the icing on the cake.

Really worth a visit, really enjoyed it.

Visited yesterday with Canterbury Model Railway Society. Had a lovely time. Would encourage anyone to visit even, if like me, you're not really into trains. The model work is exquisite and the volunteers are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
