Went over to buy a product that was marked one price, and upon running it on the till it showed a higher price. The attendant said the correct price was the one on the system and not the one tag. I refused to pay, as this is an unethical practice. I will pay what the tag says. He then phoned the manager, that did not provide a plausible solution, instead kept justifying the system versus tag price saying that the tag had an ‘old’ price on it. I will add that the attendant did not seem busy at all, and that maybe updating the tags to the current prices could’ve been something useful to do while at work. At the end, the manager did not handle my request properly, and I was simply refused the sale - instead of doing what is right in this case, I took the blame and walked away with no product in hands. What a lack of professionalism, ethics and customer service this store served me today. And to think this could’ve been such a simple fix.
