It's a stunning forest with organised paths and a good selection of varying length trails to choose from. The views are lovely, and there are places to sit for enjoying the atmosphere. Family and dog friendly facilities, including playground and picnic area.

Great place to take your bikes, one down side people who can't read ! Two things that were a bit of a pain were people walking in bike only parts and dog owners who feel they can let there dogs run riot. We had a 6 year old with and twice he nearly come off avoiding dogs. Must dog owners were very considering just the odd one yet again who give all us dog owners a bad name.

Great place for everyone. Something for all abilities. Good facilities and very clean and tidy. We did the zog trail, which was £4 per pack. Bit expensive if you have multiple kids, but they could share. The pack contained cardboard wings, stickers, pencil, crayon, and glasses to complete the trail. Parking was £6 for 4 hours. Icecream hut and cafe on site, toilets were clean. We took our dog, and they are allowed off lead if controlled. We also took a picnic and there is lots of picnic tables scattered around the site.

Nice forest area with 5 different mountain bike trails (green is easiest, but is shared with walkers) not managed the red or black yet as was with my 10yr old, who managed both blue (moderate) trails, one is about 2.1 miles, the other 4 miles. Longer blue trail is definitely harder, and requires some more skill than the shorter blue if you have younger kids. Also various walking trails, orienteering maps and trails, go ape treetops climbing, various play areas and refreshment/food available. Parking is £8 for the day, but you can buy 2hrs and 4hrs as well.

Really beautiful park, well maintained and always very clean. There are plenty of safe level routes for wheelchair users, and lovely wide paths. Coffee shop is an added bonus! No reductions in parking for blue badge holders.

Walked the Raptor Trail (purple one), 4.5km or 3 miles. Took just over an hour. Stopped at the bird of prey view point for a while.
Nice coffee to finish with.

I've visited twice recently and ask myself why I don't come more often! It's so lovely here with numerous walks and trails to explore. I had lunch and coffee at the cafe too - chicken sourdough wrap and salad (£8.90) and it was huge, fill of chicken, and more than I'd put in if I made it myself! I had to give some to the dog. Parking is a bit pricey though so bear that in mind.

Helpful and welcome bike rental shop and beautiful trails. I rode the green trail and the easier blue trail with a kid on a tag along and we both had a lot of fun. The tree tunnels, dappled light, and smells of the forest were just wonderful.
