Hanami

We made a reservation for 10pm but reservation wasn't needed, it was pretty empty but that was good for us! We were able to get a table outside with an AMAZING view! The lightening was very dark, I wish it was a little brighter but it was very romantic. The wagyu skewers were to DIE for and the Maki sushi taste so fresh! Definitely a place to try!

I visited The Hanami, located in Andaz by Hyatt in Palm Jumeirah. I had a wonderful experience with an amazing view, atmosphere and the great ambience. You can have a cozy night with some wonderful drinks ( I chose non-alcoholic). The outdoor seating is really amazing, you cannot get over the vibes there. Loved it.

The view and location were stunning, but the food was a huge letdown. We ordered the 8-dish omakase, but it was made up mostly of inexpensive ingredients with only two pieces of sushi and one roll. The sushi rice was a bit cold, and tempura was stale. It’s too the food was mediocre.

We were blessed to be able to be one of the people to try out their delectable Japanese food selection. First of all, the vibe of the place was great, the view is superb but the fusion was the pinnacle of the experience. There's something for everyone even if you're not a fan of Japanese food as this place also serves amazing steaks! I must say that this place sets a new standard for other Japanese restaurants to follow. The menu overwhelmed us at first but the staff were very accommodating and informative helping us to navigate the whole menu. Truly I must say, the food is already an experience in itself.

I would have given two stars for their main menu, but added one more for their good service and great desserts & drinks. The food overall was mediocre at best, their menu had nothing remarkable and the portion was small. My friend and I ordered 7 different dishes to share, and all the dishes lacked balance in taste. Pan-fried gyoza and chicken skewer were too salty and salmon carpaccio had the dressing that missed sweetness. The raw fish didn't taste very fresh and the octopus balls were too mush.
But their drinks and desserts are very good. Both Fuji apple pie and passion fruit & yuzu custard were delicious.

I was invited to the food tasting in this restaurant today and it was one of the best I’ve ever had in dubai.

Very authentic Japanese cuisine restaurant with live kitchen, amazing palm jumeirah panoramic view on the 15th floor with and outdoor sitting arrangements (which isn’t open to public yet but still you can go there and take picture) and yes an excellent hospitality by the staff.

Well I ordered strawberry and coconut drink(forgot the exact name) which wasn’t quite sweet but it was different and tasty.

Then in the starter menu I ordered Ebi Gyoza dumplings which were served with a very tasty dauce and I loved it. 5/5 for that

After that in the main menu I ordered
Sake Rice Burger
ToriMomo Tacos
ToriMomo Chicken Thighs
Yasai Tempura and
Yasai
I would rate them accordingly.

1: Sake Rice Burger was the best one in their with deep fried salmon. Though the burger was quite small with a small portion of really tasty salad. I loved the sour sauce which was served with it so I would rate it 5/5
2: ToriMomo Tacos wasn’t upto my taste which is totally okay coz I haven’t developed such taste yet. On the first bite I liked it but after that I felt that it’s tasting me like a raw fish and I am really not into it. It was actually a chicken one but it’s really weird that it tasted me like a fish so 3/5 for that.
3: ToriMomo chicken thighs were the second best in my menu. Really liked the saucy touch on them. 4/5
4: Yasai Tempura and Yasai both were almost the same with different taste sushis. By the time they served these bith dishes to us, we were already full so couldn’t finish the whole dish but next time we will go there just for these both as I have never tried them before. Loved the taste and presentation for both of them. 5/5

In the end I would like to mention Lourren who served us and throughout over stay and she was really helpful and lovely. The way she helped us to choose our menu and recommended us dishes was spectacular service which isn’t really common in dubai.

After the main course we decided to try their unique desserts and ordered Hanami and Green Tee Ramisu. These both desserts Were new to me and I am already in love with them. While serving the desserts they even explained how to have them and how to mix them to make the best of it and all the instructions came by the chef.

This was an unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend people to go their and enjoy the whole new Japanese cuisine experience.

If you're looking for a classy Sushi joint with an impressive ambiance then Hanami is the finest in terms of views, taste and hospitality.

Set at the top floor of Andaz - the Palm, Dubai, this place is a destination dining spot, where you can enjoy their delicious Japanese street food surrounded by the scenic views of Palm Jumeirah.

Liam was our perfect host for the evening and dinner ended with a light Japanese tea and left me an experience of soulful Japanese steetfood. Being a classy joint, the food is a tad pricy but it's well worth it.

The ambience of the place is lovely. The location is spectacular. You get a view of Burj Al Arab and of the palm! You get to see yachts beneath you. It’s fantastic and there are many lovely drawings indoor of Japanese traditions. The logo is nicely put in the front! I also love the fact that our source of light was real fire (it was covered in glass, so no fear) but it also made us feel warmth since the weather was cold, when we went.

The service is clean, fast and amazing. Sometimes you have to wait for awhile until someone comes outside, but they come outside often. Sometimes, they appear the moment you just thought of something and other times you have to wait 2 minutes or so. Overall, it’s quick. Also, they are very nice. I’d say it’s a problem that they didn’t provide tissue at the beginning, from themselves. Nonetheless, when we asked, they brought a reasonable quantity. Also, they are friendly and care for you. So, I asked for ice in my cup, but the waiter told me the water is already cold, as he was looking out for me, but since I said that I still want it, he brought it for me. I like that he didn’t object greatly or tried to get his way. He was balanced, in that he wants to alert me that the drink is cold already but didn’t push his way that I cannot have ice because he thinks it’s cold already. Also, both the waiter whom primarily served us and the waitress were nice and she also helped in bringing things for us, when he wasn’t in sight. I like places that have this kind of harmony and aren’t squared in that « this isn’t my role, so I won’t do it ». Places like Hanami, with flexible waiters and waitresses, make you happier and enjoy your time. Also, I like that they asked for whom you want the « fork and knife » instead of bringing more than required. I love that they had a napkin already placed above the plate, for fast use. They had chopsticks readily place and the soy sauce in its jar with an empty small bowl for you to drip the sauce there, if you wish.

Starters:
Torimomo Katsu: the softest bread I have ever tasted, probably, in a long time or in my life. I don’t know and it doesn’t matter much. It’s soft, like a french toast softness. I want their bread for all my dishes, even at home ????! The chicken is extremely delicious, it is tender, soft and crunchy! It is fresh. We both enjoyed this dish.

Maki Rolls:
Spider: it looks tempting, delicious and incredible, but the taste, not so much. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t incredible, either. I wouldn’t mind eating it, but there was something about it that just didn’t click (don’t ask me, I don’t know what is it). We both would agree that we won’t order it again and rather try other options. Nonetheless, i like the crab hands/legs or whatever they are called, on top of certain pieces. Personally, I like having part of the seafood piece appear on top of the sushi (my partner, doesn’t) [it’s about preference]
Ebi Tempura: fantastic. Yes, it doesn’t look as appealing as « Spider » but it was certainly delicious! Everything was well-put together. It’s magnificent! I could eat it all day! We both loved this dish, as well. (Though, as I mentioned earlier, since I like having some parts of the seafood on top of the sushi, I wish they did the same with this piece [that doesn’t mean I will not order it again]).

Dessert:
I just want to note that I was scared of their dessert to not be delicious because they were all new things and it’s like taking a risk. Nonetheless, it’s a risk worth taking! Also, I like trying new things and I am happy that we weren’t disappointed
Hanami: the combination is incroyable! You need to mix them all together. Some pieces were fine alone, but since I’m not a huge fan of citron on desserts, I’m glad that it is to be eaten with everything else. Also, the matcha sponge is unbelievably good! I didn’t expect it to be delicious, I really didn’t, but it was among the pieces that you can eat alone and will not regret it.

Also, they prepared for the birthday celebration properly!
