Finding mens clothing was the easy part, finding the tills & then getting served was the hardest part. They now have self serve tills...but only if you're paying by card so we had to wait a good 10 or maybe 15 minutes for a staff member to serve us.

Absolutely amazing experience me and my friend received from this Matalan store a couple of days ago, the young man who served both me and my friend did an amazing job at, being both chatty and fun the entire time making us laugh and smile, we both left the store happy and in a good mood which is what all shops should be aiming for, it really felt like the olden days. My friend had recently lost a loved one so it was so nice to see her like that for a change. Customer service has taken a huge plummet in the recent decades but it's nice to see there’s still some folks out there trying to keep that spirit alive. Well Done! I might even sign up for one of those credit cards now.

Driven into store via app. Deals don't exist! Staff none available... Management confrontational, at checkout, when questioned about prices offered via app, yet not instore. I'll not be going back. Horrid experience.

Ordered a shirt. Weeks went past still no update. Had to call, item is lost and they will refund. They didn’t bother to let me know without me chasing it up. I would never order from them again , really poor service and a waste of my time

This store needs some air conditioning. Absolutely horrible, I could not wait to leave - it was so hot inside I nearly collapsed. Only bought a t-shirt as I just could not handle the heat inside. I feel sorry for the staff who work there

Atrocious customer services at matalan on Ings road Wakefield! I went in to buy some trousers and a belt today. I found the items that I wanted and went to pay,I was asked if I was paying by card or cash, I said cash, at this the pink haired assistant rolled her eyes and directed me to the only cash till, the rest are self service card payment. So I get to the counter and she just walks away from me saying I'll be with you in a second, no problem with that. She then goes to a woman who was at the SELF-SERVICE till, the woman said no the gentleman was before me meaning me, her reply was either he or it doesn't matter and continued with the woman at the SELF-SERVICE till, again she said the gentleman was before me, the assistant said I'll be with him in a minute! At this point I left the goods in the shop before she found something else to do before serving me with some sort of comment like I'll be with him whenever!
Why call them SELF-SERVICE if the assistant is going to deal with customers from further behind in the queue rather than the person who needs the assistant to take his money? Is cash no longer legal tender?
As a disabled gent of advanced years I don't expect to be treated like some sort of third class citizen. Maybe a bit of staff training for this assistant would be in order because all she has done is lose you a sale and gain you a bad review!
If the lady who tried to get the assistant to deal with me is reading this I would like to say thank you for trying, it's just a shame matalan employ such ignorant staff!

I've already sent the information you are asking me for! Your reply was to offer me a £10 in store voucher, which is just adding insult to injury!
It's not about the money it's about discrimination of disabled people. You either don't or won't deal with situations like this very well at all!
