The food is amazing. I almost never order chicken in the restaurant but I ordered the chicken here because my family already ordered camel steak and lamb. To my surprise, the chicken is so tasty and of course the camel steak is unbelievable tender and delicious. Same as the lamb. Every thing is so flavorful and it is the best Arabian meal I have ever had. The host is very friendly and the restaurant is beautiful with local decorations.

First time trying camel meat. Got the burger and fries, and the fresh juice was amazing. Super friendly waiter and chef. We were treated like family!

My first meal in Dubai and it was amazing! Don’t skip the appetizers (fattoush and fresh bread). I had the lamb biriyani and it was cooked to perfection. The lamb was tender and flavorful! I also highly recommend the fresh juices. It was the most refreshing part of the meal. We will definitely be back for some great food! Thank you ????

The Local House Restaurant in Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is one of those places that grabs your attention right from the entrance. Its traditional architecture, outdoor tables, and camel statue give it a unique charm. As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by beautiful wall paintings of people in Arabic traditional clothes, urging you to snap a photo.

The place opens up after a short corridor into a spacious dining area, built inside a local house. The wooden tables, plates, cutlery, and floor tiles create a simple but attractive environment.

For my meal, I tried chicken liver, camel meat biryani, taboula salad, fresh oven-baked bread, yogurt, and chutney. The presentation was impressive—everything looked fresh and appealing, especially the bread and salad. The biryani came in a nice copper pot, adding an extra touch to the whole experience.

Now, onto the taste. The salad was well seasoned—maybe a touch too salty for some, but I found it just right. The soup complemented the meal well, and the chicken liver had an interesting taste, reminding me of shrimp or seafood. The camel meat was very tender, and the biryani was packed with ingredients like raisins. Despite the interesting mix, the overall taste was a bit subdued—not bad, but nothing mind-blowing either.

When it comes to the quality of ingredients, they certainly don't cut corners. Everything looked and tasted fresh, and you could tell they chose their ingredients carefully.

The staff were terrific. The manager was friendly and chatty, and the servers were very accommodating.

As for the price, it was reasonable—what you'd expect for a meal in this range.

All in all, Local House Restaurant is a good spot for quality, traditional food in a charming environment. While the food isn't necessarily something to rave about, it's a nice experience overall, and I wouldn't mind going back.

I came here for camel ???? meat. On the menu it was 3 dishes with camel - stake, biryani and fajita (of something like that). Price for stake 115 dirham, other 45-49. All dishes looked attractive on pictures, but I choose the best one - stake! It was terrific! I enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you chef ????u200d????! Stuff was attantive and very friendly. They brought me complimentary desert and camel milk to try after I said I never tried it by would love to. Milk itself is too salty, but desert was also delicious and looked like a yellow layers of jello with cookie bottom.
Restaurant was actually empty for almost all my dinner time on Monday, so don't bother to book table if its not a weekend. Conviniently you are in the old town, so enjoy a walk around it after dinner. There is a souvenier market and a small Bedouin tent with 2 camels presenting old times.
Very satisfied!

I had the camel steak, wife had camel biryani. Both were succulent. Great atmosphere and decor. Very close to historical district and Al Seef tourist area. Would recommend and will be returning. Naan app, and trifle desert was amazing aswell.
