Great food, lovely service and dog friendly
We visited this pub twice on our visit to Whaleybridge recently.
Under new management we found the staff to be very welcoming, the food was excellent with great presentation and our dog enjoyed the treats and cosy fire!
We wish the owners luck in their new venture and look forward to visiting again when we are back up north.
Highly recommend this charming pub.

Firstly I will just explain why I took one star off... The beer garden/patio area is lovely, but it's completely covered. The weather (at the moment) is glorious and I would have liked to enjoy my drink and food with some sunshine, so ideally, there could be an uncovered area.

Saying that, the food was lovely, fresh, well presented and served by a very friendly, attentive member of staff. Real ales were spot on too.

Facilities like the bathrooms were really nice and smelled fresh and clean. We walked there, so didn't have to park, but there is a large car park at the side.

Lovely pub, first time visiting and would definitely go back again.

mac and cheese could’ve been cooked more as it wasn’t crispy on the top but will defo be back. sunday menu was good no chicken option on the sunday dinner tho. very nice pub

Wow, wasn't expecting so much joy from a soup and a sandwich! Best ever. The food was fab and the service was so friendly. We will definitely be back while we are in the area to eat some more!!

We had our Dad's 70th birthday party here this past weekend and it couldn't have been better. Jan & John were so helpful and accommodating from booking through the end of the party and the staff were lovely. We got rave reviews from guests about the food, and there were extra little touches like flowers on the tables. The end room was the perfect amount of space for our group of 35 people and I would highly recommend this pub to others looking for a space to gather. Thanks so much!

Just had a butty here. Looked quite pricey but it was really nice. Served with coleslaw and salad. Didn’t want too much as we had booked to eat up the road in a couple of hours. Hope I’ve still got room!

Loved this place, was greeted by Katelyn & made very welcome on a quiet Wednesday afternoon in early May. Menu has something to satisfy everyone, with a one or two course option. I has sole to start & then the Beef & Ale pie. My partner Sarah didn't have a starter, had the pie too & then sticky toffee pudding with Custard. The portions were just the right size, the pie had short crust pastry & a Cock on the crust which was held in a pie dish. The vegetables were perfectly cooked.
The bar is well stocked, with Craft Ales & all the favourites. A good selection of Hard Liquor & wines too.
The locals were charming & the Staff so lovely. I will be visiting again & again

We were out for a drive, decided to stop off for a Sunday roast, first time we've been. Wow, it was gorgeous, all freshly cooked, nothing cooked from frozen. Good size portions of roast pork, apple sauce, veg etc. More importantly it was all lovely. Friendly, helpful staff and owner too. Keep up the good work, we'll defo be back.
