Views are amazing from the parking lot! Happy to see the ice cream van once I finished a long hike. Expensive parking fees because there’s only a 4 hour (£4) or 24 hour (£8.50) option - would be great to have an 8 hour option for about £5-6

Absolutely Beautiful place , I wouldn’t recommend parking here in winter as it is quite steep drive up and a single track road , there are quite a few parking places but I would arrive early to avoid disappointment parking is reasonable can either pay on the ring go app which is easier if you arrive before 9am as it won’t let you pay until then.

This is a car park with a spectacular view! Makes the ascent of Coniston Old Man feel a lot easier! Take your phone or cash for the car park charge, though.

Great walk but expect limited parking, and a long steep walk if you have to drive back down. There are very few passing places on the road up so be aware if you come across another car you’ll have to reverse a pretty decent distance

Great good size car park, spaces marked by logs, it saved us a very steep walk from the village. Tight single lane up with a few passing places though. Bonus of ice-cream van after our long walk!

Gets busy on a sunny day. Worth paying to avoid the steep long walk up from Coniston village. However unacceptable condition of the parking area. It's an unmade stony pothole ridden road. So bad that we only wanted to go so far in and always tried to park near the gate. We managed it fine in our Golf GTI but it's unacceptable for £8 a day!

Went for a walk up old man from the Walna Scar car park. The way up is mostly gentle and a good shorter walk. There are plenty of spaces there and the views from the car park itself are amazing so even if you just went for a picnic and aren't an avid hiker I would recommend a visit!

Attempted the circular walk over the two pikes and the old man. A gorgeous scenic place, very steep in places, good hiking experience needed.
