The quality of the food is becoming worse.
We used to love this place but now there is nothing to look forward.
The staff specifically the waitresses who served us today was so mean for absolutely nothing .
She dint even have the courtesy to put plates she just banged them with all the cutlery and left .
From a place which had good food and ambience and welcoming staff now it's nothing .
Sorry to say but the staff should be more friendlier until the customer offends them or something

Very nice restaurant, friendly stuff, tasty Lebanese food, chicken shawerma, meat shawerma, Arabic grills, fatayer , .etc. I tested the meat fetera and it was nice. The mixed grill was delicious. Reasonable prices for quality Arabi food and grills. Also I tested the lentil soup and it was very good.

A very spacious restaurant with a huge kitchen area

But, only 1 waitress to take the order, bill counter, and make the juice without any hygiene.

The only Arabic restaurant in whole UAE who will charge you for hummus if you order grilled chicken.

The food is very expensive compared to the quality and quantity

Delicious authentic veg falafel sandwich and quick service. Perfect for late night takeaways!

Ambience is slightly lacking and even the server wasn't too keen to help.

One of the most badly food I had ever. I ordered Fried chicken and shawarma, and few hours later my stomach got sick super tired throughout many times and I can feel the taste of the the oil what been used for the fried in my mouth. Was super bad decision when I decided to have my food from this place.

Excellent restaurant !

Fresh and quality food, with amazing dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant, you wont be disappointed.

The menu food is very good as well as for the daily special dish. The boss is also very friendly and always gives great recommendations on what to pick and eat.

I went there almost everyday on my stay to Dubai.

Il Mondo is my favourite restaurant in Southend. The staff are super friendly and attentive and make you feel welcome each time you visit. And the food! So fresh and delicious and excellent value for money. Superb!

First time at Il Mondo for my daughter in laws birthday after being recommended by a family member. I can honestly say this is the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to. The food was fantastic I had the Rack of lamb and it was cooked to perfection. There was eight in the party we all had starters main and afters. No one in the group had a bad word to say about food service or staff. The staff are a credit to the owners. It was a fantastic evening and we are planning another visit. The food was very reasonable priced and all food looked excellent.
This is an ideal venue for large group before or after a show or even a evening meal for two.
Tables was very well spaced out for privacy.
All in all a little gem of a venue. We will definitely be back.

Well what can I say , but a very welcoming vibe and professional yet relaxed feeling they provide. We were blown away by the food, a taste sensation and the way the staff interacted with us giving recommendations on choices with a knowledge of the menu. We didn’t get the name of the waiter but he was really taking an interest and sharing his knowledge with us.

I and my wife will be definitely going back and would highly recommend anyone to try this wonderful establishment and enjoy the Italian cuisine which is presented in a high standard.

The food presentation and quality was to a high standard and recommended.

First time here and I absolutely loved it! The food was lovely and the service was excellent! Great value for money. If I'm ever in Southend again I'll definitely be visiting Il Mondo again!

Been here twice, both times left happy. Really good food, decent portion size and authentic.

Waiters could be better by being more attentive, but that’s the only small criticism.

Would recommend a visit

Had a really lovely dinner with the family at this fine Italian restaurant. The portions were generous and the pricing was very reasonable! The kids had a 12 inch pizza and serving of spaghetti bolognese and the servings were really large enough to feed most adults! We went for a beautifully cooked lobster ravioli to start, followed by a mixed seafood grill for 2, which was simply spectacular! Half a lobster, 2 pieces of squid, 2 fillets of salmon, 2 fillets of sea bass, 3 langoustines, 4 king prawns, and clams and mussels. I would love to come back again.
