The apt is located right in the middle of New town, which is amazing. To check in you must go to a office in the same building . The Apt comes with New Furniture . The wifi worked great. Cleanliness: The bathroom was cleaned daily. The bedroom was cleaned before your arrival and you could pay to have it cleaned again during your stay. Share Facilities. It is very outdated. There is no separation between the shower and toilet so everything gets soaked. The staff were super helpful with anything I could need!

Fantastic day out, enclosed grounds so children can run freely and explore. Underground tunnel is incredible. Wonderful history.

I visited today 8/6/2023 and was introduced to the site by a very knowledgeable young lady who told me about the history and the living owners of the castle and grounds (brilliantly told history) with a well stocked shop and grounds to enjoy a pickic in over in and around the castle itself.
Tea and coffee is available and light snacks too.
If you are anywhere near and looking for a trip out with young ones or just after a good castle to explore then you can't go wrong here !

Please check the opening times.
I was sad to miss the correct times today as the castle does look like it was a substantial fortress.
There was still plenty to learn about the castle, grounds and history at the nearby St Hellens Heritage building, with plenty of information from the Civil Wars

Had a very enjoyable trip to Ashby castle. Being an English heritage member we didn't pay for entry (£7.80 per adult). The castle ruins are interesting to explore with some information boards to read. Toilets and shop are on site and hot drinks are available. It had a small car park too. Will happily return for another visit

Such a lovely and beautiful place. There's is a little kiosk where there's toilets. Cold and hot drinks and sweets/ice-cream

Caught the very end of the open hours but it was a pleasant surprise as to how much castle was left. The underground tunnel was awesome!

Good place to have a picnic with family. Tickets are not too pricy.Liked the place specially the tunnel...

Note, parking in the nearby is free on Sundays!
