I visited this recycling centre around 5.30pm yesterday afternoon. I was extremely impressed by the entire setup! There were a wide variety of skips for each possible type of item or rubbish that were set below ground level so it was easy to throw the relevant items in each. There were even areas for things like oil, paint containers and old gas cyclinders. The staff were also very helpful in explaining which items go where. This is exactly the type of setup that is needed to help alleviate flytipping in Glasgow.

I've worked with several recycling projects in Africa as part of my work with charities and social enterprises and haven't seen something like this place before.

Excellent centre for getting rid of your junk that doesn't fit in your bin and especially if you don't want it lying around causing an eyesore. This facility in Underwood Road accepts all sorts of waste products and they have separate skips for recycling these items, usually there's an attendant will point you in the right direction.

5 workers chatting when I dragged a mattress from my car. Was told to "bring it over here". No offer to help until I got to skip and said I wouldn't be able to lift it over. 60 year old woman....not impressed

Special vibe in the place a spectacular aroma caresses your nasal area on approach.The sun setting over the compound is majestic and is definitely a bucket list endeavour.One thing I hold close to my heart and cherish like a new born is my proximity to this convenience.

Covid restrictions have created long lines and waiting times. This is understandable but not all the new rules are clearly signed and today I found the staff rude and inconsistent applying the new regulations with all patrons .

Edit: Thank you for your kind reply. There were no signs indicating that only four vehicles were permitted in at any given time, which we were then rudely reprimanded for not following. Furthermore, we were not previously informed that only one person per vehicle could make a deposit, which we were also berated for despite several other patrons clearly ignoring this rule. However, this experience was all the more jarring as my previous experiences have been quite pleasant. While I understand times are stressful and I failed to follow the new rules, I believe we should speak to each other with civility and respect and sadly that was not what I experienced today.

Every time I’ve been here, the staff are always helpful. They’ve even gone as far as unloading the bags and wood out of my car for me I would give them 10/10 if I could

Recently took a leather chair and asked the guy where he wanted it put and the next thing I knew, his colleague came over to help him take it out of my car and they put it in the right skip which I was very grateful for. The workers are always willing to help

Dismantled 3 pieces of furniture and lifted a laminate floor, bagged everything and made two trips to the recycling centre over two days. Staff were pleasant when approaching the queuing vehicles to ensure that everything was bagged and spent no more than 15 minutes queuing. System in place was far better than pre-Covid-19.
