This Shields Medical Practice is absolutely a joke! Receptionists and doctors treat you so badly and don’t treat you respectfully. They don’t answer the phone and don’t give you appointments or antibiotics even you need them. Will definitely make a complain higher about this circus. Disgusting!

Fantastic medical practice in the southside that is friendly, attentive and helpful. Reception always do their best to try and sort things even if patients are tight for time etc. Doctors here are really nice and when anything that has needing checked has always been done really thoroughly. Looking at some of the other negative reviews, some of them are not even for this practice and in fact are talking about other Local GP surgeries! Personally, me and my family feel well looked after. Keep up the good work and thank you!

Everytime I call, I Never get through to Anyone, the reception staff should be to find other jobs as they don't care for the job they have, no answers, no help, just "call back tomorrow before 9" that does not help when you've tried it and not get through. Practice should be shut or reception staff need to be told to move on. Very unprofessional staff, as the few times that I have been waiting for an appointment, I can see the reception just let the phone ring on and don't care for it. Finally time to change GP, I recommend anyone but this "medical practice", no ethics or morals.

Shambles .
Can't get through. As a patient you have to call for Appt at 08:30 but it rings on and on. Finally gave up at 08:58.
Still never met the doctor and we joined in 2020.

I have been a patient at this practice for about 18 months and would strongly suggest any new patients go anywhere else!

During Covid I had severe headaches and as the doctor was working from home he continually fobbed me off with having a sinus infection, based purely on conjecture. Due to seeking medical advice through an optician I was actually forced to attend a&e due to my headaches. It actually turned out that I had severe kidney failure which in turn was causing extremely high and dangerous blood pressure levels, so thing that would have been flagged had I been invited in for a simple BP check. I have now subsequently had a kidney transplant but the issues with this GP are on going and new ways of dropping the ball become apparent every time I have any interaction with him, this is usually just done via receptionist with no direct access to the GP. The GP NEVER gets my prescriptions right and are really slow to action anything, commonly 1-2 weeks after letters are sent from hospital. This all may seem trivial but when you have ~3% kidney function the last thing you need is to be chasing medications and doing multiple trips to the doctors and chemist who seem to play really bad prescription tennis with each other!

I have had my blood pressure checked once at this practice since being diagnosed and if it wasn’t for the professionalism of the staff at the Victoria hospital and QUEH this gps practice would have completely shattered my faith in the NHS as a whole. When getting my BP checked the nurse seeing to me didn’t change her gloves at all and the office she used was messy at best and seemed unclean. I would get no treatments done at this practice due to its lax approach to any and all aspects, especially towards hygiene. I am moving practice as soon as possible.

THE WORST MEDICAL PRACTICE!!!

I am registered with this practice since summer 2021 and after the few interactions with them I felt so bad that I was their patient that I had to write a massive email complaint to the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Right now, even if I am sick, I don't even bother to call them. I am tired of the reception not answering the phone or being told to expect a phone call WHENEVER the doctor is available in the afternoon. I am sorry that I have a job and I am not availabe most afternoons!!! Why can you not be more organised and give people a time slot, I honestly never understood.

I can't wait to move to a different address and hopefully find a decent GP practice!

Doctors and staff are nice enough but trying to get through to reception is a joke and when waiting on a call back they phone and as soon as I go to answer it hangs up that quick that it doesn’t even get a chance to ring and literally just lights up my phone for a second before hanging up. I then get told I might not get another call back due to already trying???

The most uncoath and disrespectful Staffa ever. Right from the reception. Doctors book appointments that they don't honour and you don't get to be seen even after waiting to see a doctor. I came home in tears today
