Ordered cushions online. Different size covers were delivered and the cushion inserts had a strong “wet musty duck” smell. Not great.

Hi I recently moved into a new apartment and went to west elm dubai mall for their design services .. the designer Jonathan was a delight to work with .. he was very patient to assist me with the right mix of furniture and accessories for my living room .. and even though I had a very disappointing experience with respect to the delivery .. Jonathan tried his best to chasing up with the delivery team to ensure the items finally reach and I could bring alive the design in my apartment

Horrible consumer experience with West Elm online.

1) Put an order 1 week ago for multiple items
2) Pay for order
3) 6 days later get a callback from West Elm to confirm delivery address
4)Less than 24 hours before delivery get called that 1 piece is NOT found in the WH for the order so they decide to cancel your WHOLE order and put the hassle of everything on consumer and wash their hands out of it.
5) Forcefully do the above despite customer insisting they can cancel only the missing piece and fine to receive the rest.

Having consumer carry the burden for your mistakes when you charge a considerable amount is not OK.

Recommended to stay away and use brands that provide decent customer service in return of premium.

UPDATE: to everyone reading this post and response below from west elm, it is a documentation that not only they do not care about rectifying the situation - they ‘kindly’ ignore. Please make sure to read other customers notes in reviews as it’s evident that the same situation repeated itself many times in the past and West Elm simply do not care.

We had a very good experience with West Elm. Their furniture is very elegant and classy. A special thanks to their executive Thanietan. He has immense knowledge about interiors and has been extremely helpful in designing our space and carefully selecting the appropriate furniture for us. We really appreciate all his efforts.

From start to finish I had the most positive experience with West Elm. The team there is so attentive especially Maria who asked all the right questions and subsequently gave me the most helpful advice. My home is now beautifully upgraded and is a cozy comfortable environment. Highly recommended! Best interior store in Dubai.

Outstanding quality and service, consistently. I always find the perfect pieces in West Elm - whether furniture or accessories. Usually assisted by the professional, courteous and super helpful Ahmed Mansour who I contact whenever I need something - even if I cant make it to the store he always takes the time and effort to promptly forward photos and information, offers suggestions and makes the ordering process very smooth and easy. Comparatively, I find West Elm great value for money considering the high quality and timeless design style, and well worth the investment.

I ordered a duvet cover from them. The duvet came with stains, and the seams were all coming out. Tried reaching out multiple times to customer service but no one bothered replying. I eventually went to the store to return it. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. West Elm your customer service team is worthless.

I bought a Harmony Sofa from Westelm for a premium price . Duck Feathers from the sofa have started to come out within 6 months of usage. Not to mention this Sofa is used very rarely . Adding to this I have been trying to raise complaint with Westelm and customer executive states that someone from furniture department will call me back in 30 mins . I have done follow up 3 times and same response . It’s one week of chasing and still not able to raise a complaint . Honest advise to anyone looking to buy is to avoid buying from them as you will repent paying a premium price with 0 customer services .

Update :- From the reply of Westelm we can judge ourselves about the service . They didn’t even bother to ask if I was able to raise complaint . I am still not able to raise complaint .
