They are now part of the village community. The management employs staff to suit a village, friendly and helpful because a village Sainsburys can be visited daily by the locals. They are another valued village shop and adds to the delights we find in our premier village shop. Both great places to visit. They keep the village going! Sue

I would love to give this place 5 stars as it's wonderful to have a small grocery store on my doorstep with ample car parking...but one or two occasions recently (1 today) members of staff have almost certainly had Covid and not wearing a mask. Yes, the pandemic is all but over, but for some vulnerable folk, being served by staff who are coughing away, it's not good. That said, the stock here is great and the bakery section is amazing...there's even a Costa machine in here! Another shop down the road will surely be feeling the pinch a bit now that Sainsburys has opened this store, but having the parking facility at Sainsburys is so convenient (I would still recommend getting the council to consider placing double yellow lines right outside the doors on the bend though). A great start to the life of this shop though...I use it daily and it's almost perfect!

I have lived in the village for a number of years, and truly thought Sainsbury’s would be a good idea as a convenient store locally, went into the 13th of July 2022 and a block of cheese usually round about £2 to £2.50 in a city supermarket was £3.70 which I feel is ridiculous, so my first and last trip to Sainsbury’s Middleton St George, we have a good Morrison’s in Morton Park which is not that much further away come on Sainsbury’s stop trying to rob the citizens of UK with these ridiculous and unreasonable prices.
