Stayed for 3 nights only on my holiday. Friendly welcome on arrival. Campsite and facilities were very clean. Beautiful location with loads of walking by the Loch and around the surrounding mountains. 15min drive into Oban well worth a visit and try some of the local seafoods.

We absolutely love going to Barcaldine campsite. We camped every year in a tent, now we're getting older we got. Motorhome. Either way it's a great site for anybody wanting a nice and quiet place. Unfortunately no kids park or play area, this was removed a couple of years ago, but kids need these areas to make new friends and parents need 5 minute peace, so hoping they will invest and put it back. Staff are very helpful and site immaculate. There are plenty of walks and fishing up at the loch. Also cycle paths are well catered for

Oppressive staff ! Horrible atmosphere ! We have stayed on some forty club sites and this one takes you back twenty years !
Although clean and tidy , nice showers ..

Set in an old walled garden a really quiet and sheltered site. A good base for Oban to the south and Glencoe and Glenfinnan to the north. Good walks nearby including to the loch side.

Nearest pub 2.5 miles, lovely walks and lock, all facilities very good

Lovely site in a great location but just a bit concerned about the reliability of the services. 2 out of 5 of the gents showers are locked off, and the entire block was out of action due to some defect from about 9pm til after 9am. No hot water or hand dryers and no lighting. Probably needs some additional investment?

Fantastic, so far. Apart from the Midges and they are to be expected, here & now.
