Way to the destination is not too good.
Normal sedan cars reach.
Family spot.
Was windy on the day I visited but not sure about all days.
Climate is calm.
Best place for portrait and landscape photos.

Amidst all those hills and rough roads this place is just an amazing one for sight seeing. Those huts are something that takes you to the roots of humanity. Valley beneath gives you a breath taking view. Climb the hills and have fun. As such there is no restrictions at this place.
One advice, please take care of your kids as they might fall by tripping on some of those loose stones.

This place gives an insight as to how people lived 100 to 150 years back.
Best time to visit this place would be in the morning when its not too hot. Dont let the rocky off roads in the beginning scare you or make you turn back. Just be a little bit careful as there is only 1 road for going to the fort and the same road while leaving the fort so be careful of any oncoming vehicles although you might not even find any oncoming vehicles as very few people visit this place. In my opinion any decent sedan car can also make make it and you do not necessarily need a four wheel drive. Remember to stop by the wadi /dam on the way and take pictures its literally pin drop silence.
Once you reach the fort there will be a guide who is very nice and friendly who will unlock the fort doors and give you a tour and also tell you a brief history of the fort. Its a must to climb up the watch towers as the views are spectacular. Although he wont ask just remember to tip the guide for his efforts.
There are a lot of petrol pumps on the way so just stock up some snacks and drinking water and wear comfortable clothing. Just a suggestion take care of your children as there are chaces of tripping due to the rocky terrain and there are a few areas which do not have boundary wall.
Also there is a Masjid for those who want to pray.
All in all a wonderful place to visit.
