More like, Anston Stones Wood. A wonderful little place, woodlands and the brook. It was a bit of a struggle to get to... We parked on a lay by on the A57... Not a good idea unless you park on the right side of the road. We had to cross the very busy main road with two little ones...???? But once you're in there, it's peaceful, beautiful and so calming.
The kids were prepared with their wellies to paddle and play in the brook that runs all along. We ventured up to the Dead Man's Cave, a shame it was littered with shattered bottles and other rubbish... But the kids had a nosy. Just opposite the little path that takes you to the cave, we came across an open field and spent about half an hour in there, just to chill and take in the vast open space. ♥️♥️ I didn't see anywhere to have a little picnic, but there were many logs and big fallen trees... No doubt they'll come in handy to rest tired legs and grab a quick sandwich. ♥️
We are definitely going back, this time armed with towels, change of clothes and a picnic. ???????? Beautiful....
P.S. while driving near South Anston, at the lights, if you turn like you are going towards the Butterfly House, there is a Children's centre there opposite which is a car park. A friend parked her car there and walked from one end to the other. I'm keeping that in mind for the next time.

Was a nice walk and rather tricky to find such a shame that it has been vandalised by graffiti.very pleasant walk with the kids and dog

It's a Cave, I don't really know what to add beyond that. Pretty alright as caves go.

I didn't find the right one but there is more caves around the path.

Lovely walk if you are in Anston.
Went here with the family recently and is a closed pathway making it ideal for little ones.
