Avoid Hiring from U-drive at all cost.
I hired a 9 seater van for transport which I returned on time with no issues. Next day I realised funds had been taken from my account without any notification as a penalty charge for not returning the van. The account was overdrawn and had to cancel next day jobs as I had no funds for transport. After filing a complaint this is the response I got " As you are seeking advice and will no longer be hiring from us, I am unsure what you are requiring from U-Drive at this point"
AVOID HIRING FROM THIS INCOMPETENT COMPANY AT ALL COST.

Booked a car hire for Sunday, very last minute but they said they had one available to be picked up at 12. They call me up 45 mins before, "oh sorry mate we don't have any cars now." Very unprofessional, I may have been able to book a car with another company but now I cannot as its too late. Completely messed up my day.

Vehicle swap over for MOT. On returning to pick up after MOT which was 6 days after MOT due date. Asked to come in the morning for 7:45. Got here at 7:53. I then was told to wait 6 mins for colleague. Not great. To add I was told to come in the next day as vehicle would be ready and they haven't even picked the vehicle from Adams morey LTD.

James and Josh were both very helpful and informative. Life saver that U-Drive operate collection and drop-off on Sunday which many competitors don’t. Shiny new van also. Thanks guys ????

The vehicle wasn't prepared at all for usage, so should not have been made available for rent. Considering the cost, you should insure at the very least that the van is clean before the customer first sees it, not offer to waste another 15 mins of their already hectic day cleaning it. Also wasn't full of fuel either so that's another job on the list... plus it was covered in scratches and scrapes. For the price, we've had a lot better experiences with companies with worse reviews

The wait for picking up a van was very long! pre booked online and had to wait an hour to actually get the keys! really annoying, no one managing the situation. Also, the van, worst I have ever driven. Used U-drive before and the van was good. This one seemed to have issues with the steering. Mentioned to staff but the response was they thought "the whole van was bad". Anyway, might think twice before using again

Renting a car as a US tourist was surprisingly hassle-free, plus good customer service and great value for cost (esp. compared to the big companies!). The car was posher than expected too ???? The low prices were the initial draw, but overall excellent experience - we'll come again next trip!

Very helpful, friendly and professional. Vans are lovely looking, very clean and sanitised. Cheaper then other self hire companies. 100% recommend and will use again. Thank you Southampton branch.
