Chatham is a great little pit stop on the way to the Kent coast.Lively station staff & a fab "Pumpkin Cafe" with toasties, muffins & coffees all served up with a smile????????????

This has got to be the most depressing place I’ve been to in a long while. Don’t get me wrong the staff have tried to keep it clean but it not! The London bound platform waiting room looks like tried old medical room also smells like a wet dog!! The platform is covered in chewing gum stains the overhung roof leaks. And the staff well I asked if my train had been cancelled as it hadn’t turned up on time and no announcement had been made and neither of them knew anything about, another passenger overheard my conversation and informed us all that in fact the 5:40am London Blackfriars train had infact been cancelled. Horrible start to my week.
