Great service! We were at the end of our trip in Oban and our car had broken down and Halfords were fab! Such friendly staff who were very willing to have a look at the car immediately for us to reassure us before we went on our way back down south! Thanks so much for being so accommodating.

Top Class service today. Oil and tyre changes done. Friendly and professional team, very down to earth and helpful. Would definitely go back and highly recommend .

They attempted to charge over £700 for changing an alternator on a Citroen relay, claiming that the part cost over £600. Evidently that's not true, since after getting competing quote they lowered price to £536. When paying, I saw on the screen that the standard Halfords price was £447. Which makes sense for a circa £200 part, and 4 hours labour at the quoted £60/hour. It is disappointing to be lied to and overcharged.

Would not use this garage for my private car as the manager is unreliable. Lease vehicle booked and confirmed for a service 3 weeks ago, on the day of service manager says he to busy to look for confirmation and instead tells me to drive away (not impressed). Informed lease firm

Had 2 competitively priced tyres fitted, very quick efficient service, I was also awaiting TPS sensors, I was kept well informed at all times by the well mannered staff, particularly Alasdair.

Absolute disgrace. Booked online (26/01/23) to get a tyre fitted on the 01/02/23. Arrived and was told that my tyre had not arrived and was told the online booking system was a shambles. I was told to come back the next day (02/02/23) at 11am and the receptionist assured me my tyre would be here. Arrived the next day and was told again that my tyre hadn’t arrived, the receptionist had went out to the garage and looked for it and came back and said it was not here. He then asked one of the mechanics where these types of tyres are delivered from and long story short they said a week before it arrives. Yet, right beside his desk, the receptionist finds a bit of paper to confirm my tyre had actually arrived on the 30/01/23. After going back out to the garage with what appeared to be the manager, they came back and said it had actually arrived and the work could be done. Two bits of evidence to tell you the tyre was there completely missed, one of them being the tyre itself. I went back later to pick the car up and they said they couldn’t replace the spare wheel with my original tyre because they couldn’t get the locking nut off. They had changed the tyre but put the wheel back in the boot. I went home angry with my whole experience and managed to get the locking nut off with the standard ratchet provided in the boot of the car…so they clearly hadn’t even attempted to remove this. A terrible experience all round and a disgraceful lazy service, book your car into a proper garage.

Really helped us out of a fix. Very friendly and helpful, treated with respect, which doesn't happen everywhere. Got back on the road very quickly which was much appreciated.
