Came here for the first time for a few years. It was better than I remember, there is loads of interesting facts and information on how the trains were built and maintained. It explores the history of the Great Western railway and the companies history and links with Issambard Kingdom Brunel.

It's great for children as well as adults with lots of hands-on activities. My autistic brother loved it, and we spent around 2 hours walking through it.

This is the place where locomotives history come alive.

A wonderful experience. If you are into locomotive, mechanical and engineering history, this place is a one stop shop. Attention to details, story telling and seeing the mighty powerhouse and fastest steam engines in 2023 is no small feast. The artefacts are well kept, the historical context is nicely illustrated for a common man to understand.

This place is a Time Machine. It takes you back in time. Highly recommended.

Fantastic museum, right next to outlet centre in Swindon. Took a good few hours to look around. So much history and great engineering. A treasured memory of by gone years of our ancestors hard work and labour that has been for too long forgotten by most.

Great museum especially if your into trains or industrial history. Well laid out, excellent displays. Integrated well with nearby shops and services.

This museum is tucked away, and I didn't realise it was about two minutes walk from the swindon shopping outlet.
Beautifully laid out - walking around there is so much to see, ranging from signal box, to engines, carriages to a cinema! Very enjoyable visit.

Very nice museum, I heavily enjoyed it as an enthusiast, but it was quite challenging to find the location for it from the station since the signage was slightly missing.

Bought tickets in advance for the comicon, but still had to queue with everybody else who was paying. The museum was larger than expected, a good selection of trains. Entry price is quite high. Could do with aircon, it was incredibly warm inside, I did feel for the people in costume. Plenty toilets which were clean, didn't use the cafe. We parked in the outlet centre carpark and walked across, bu their carpark is free and big enough.

A totally brilliant day out! Loads to see for all the family, a lovely cafe, friendly staff, and the bonus "The Sun" exhibition. We bought a season ticket and we'll be back — a lot!
