Beautiful palace and gardens. Interesting historical information and plenty to see and do whilst visiting. There are several place to buy food and drinks throughout the palace however it is all quite expensive. Can get very busy as there are often school trips visiting during the week. Spacious car parks and additional parking is usually available during the larger events.

Wonderful day out with friends. Plenty to do and see. Eating was a bit awkward as not enough seating and also very much junk food I'm afraid. But if you can be bothered to walk to the cafe they serve a good selection in pleasant surroundings. We went on the last day so picked up some bargain plants.

Royal palace with a very interesting mix of architectural styles. There were good explanatory texts available in the rooms. We didn‘t manage to see all of the gardens because there is so much to see.

I love the history of King Henry VIII and his 6 wives, Queen Anne Boleyn being my favorite, it was truly an amazing experience be able to walk through Hampton Palace and walk where those before us have walked. We did not have a lot of time in London so I didnt not stay to explore as long as i would have liked but if you plan to visit here plan for several hrs so that you can see everything! The gardens are spectacular and the history within these walls is truly out of this world!! Its a must see for any history buff!!!!

Sunday visit for the flower show. Our first time. Enjoyed the day lots of colour and gardens to be seen. I personally would have liked more flowers and gardens and less places touting for business to buy goods. Extremely busy but to be expected. An enjoyable day out if you've never been definitely worth a visit ????

I would recommend everyone of all age groups to visit. It's steeped in history. A place to learn and a great place to admire the architecture and artwork. The palace and the gardens are fantastic. There is a self guided tour if you wish. You can easily spend all day there. There is a car park just inside the gates of the palace or it's an easy walk over the Thames river from the train station. I would recommend an annual pass as you can visit as often as you like and you can also visit a few other places as well.

It’s best known as the preferred palace of King Henry VIII and his various wives but has served many Kings and Queens over the years.

The palace has various sections with a number of extensions and changes having taken place to suit each Monarch. The most interesting part for many visitors is the Tudor part of the palace which still retains its great hall, bedrooms and a chapel. Look out also for the impressive chimney stacks which cover the roof-line. The audio tour will also point out some of the legacy of Anne Boleyn which wasn’t destroyed after her execution.

The newer parts of of the palace are much more opulent and grand, but the rooms are similar to many you will have seen in royal apartments in historic houses around Europe.

A visit to the whole palace will take several hours as it’s absolutely huge. You also see the kitchens, other service areas and the magnificent gardens. On a beautiful day, you can spend a long time just walking around them as they stretch down to the river on one side and towards a deer park on the other. In one greenhouse you’ll find a record-breaking vine and don’t miss the cosy building in the gardens which overlooks the river as it has beautifully painted walls.

We visited for the tulip festival which is the biggest in England apparently! The palace itself is very fun and interactive and it’s a good way to learn about the history of the Tudors and Henry the Eights wives! Lots of entry and exit point so you want exit the palace into the gardens which are amazing! So symmetrical and well kept and birds view from the palace windows! Has to be one of my favourite palaces! It’s really big so I recommend at least 5-6 hours if you enjoy history and gardens.
