Our casual visit was amply rewarded with an unexpectedly huge interior that was filled with a massive collection of a bygone age. You can easily lose an hour in there regardless of the ages of your family. Lovely building staffed by friendly, helpful and enthusiastic volunteers. No tickets are necessary as its free entry but donations are welcomed and should be given to keep this alive.

A fabulous little find that was jam-packed with all sorts of interesting stuff from a 1750's cider press to the slightly more modern hand vacuum cleaner and everything in-between, it's also free to enter. We did leave a donation in the pot, though.
Parking is a short walk away and wasn't expensive either, and a short walk along the High Street is a very lovely bakery where we grabbed a quick bite to eat.

Definitely worth a visit on a non beach day.

First visit to this interesting little museum today. Free entry, helpful volunteers. Lots of interesting items donated charting life in Cornwall. Also a few areas for children to play & explore. workshops for children to learn old crafts and skills.

An absolute hidden gem of a place. Full of history and interesting objects. Not only this but it caters perfectly for family’s. There’s a play area for children with a toy cooker, till, shopping basket and a puppet show to play with. There’s also a very quaint little help yourself cafe with a donation box right in the heart of the museum. They also cater very well for buggy’s and wheelchairs with ramps and a lift to get access to all 3 floors with ease. A perfect day out of it’s raining or even if your in the area it’s a lovely little find

Several aspects of former Cornish life and industries and some more general exhibits such as a collection of old radios. Admission is free and there is a gift shop. Good place to go on a rainy day.

I volunteered here for my d of e and I sadly completed this module all the staff I met were absolutely lovely and kind and helpful and very intelligent thank you so much guys for making my volunteering a fun,interesting and personality making experience I shall visit regularly and leave a cake or pack of biscuits for you all out of appreciation of how much you made me feel safe and happy and I'm sad to depart many thanks

What a tremendous museum, for day to day history. This museum has a fantastic display. I could have spent much longer there had I been on my own.
Free entry, but definitely make a generous donation to keep history alive.

For a small museum it was crammed with interesting item, it was well worth the visit, and it's free to visit.
