The view is simply breathtaking! really amazing place with stunning views all around.
Doesn't matter if you're a "simple" sightseers or an experienced outdoor enthusiast, anyone can enjoy these beautiful mountains surrounding the Loch.
A Must stop for everyone who appreciates nature!!

Lots of mountains and some humongous lochs. The Ben Lomond walk was more difficult than I expected, but the views from the top (on a clear day) were stunning; the scale of Loch Lomond is revealed from above.
Visited in late April seemingly just before the midges woke up. This area was noticeably busier than Scotland's other National Park at this time, but still far from busy.

A fantastic place, suitable for all manner of outdoor activity. Unfortunately a great deal of the accessible shoreline at the southern end of Loch Lomond and other southern lochs get very busy during sunny weekends and holidays over the summer, so plan accordingly. Luss is pretty horrible on those days, and the waters and atmosphere spoiled by the jetski crew, so explore the rest of the national park area if you can.
Needless to say, the further from the Glasgow conurbation you go, the quieter it gets, but the summer midge plague gets worse, so it's a balancing act ????
Be aware, Ticks are prevalent throughout the national park, so be thorough when checking after a day out.

Lovely Loch, great to paddle in. Lovely small local shops, busy with tourists.

Went for a couple of days fishing, midweek not in school hols. Permit £13 for 2 rods peace and quiet

Fabulous views, great walks and nice pubs. Great place to spend some time.
