Good perfumes but don’t appreciate the seller lying by telling me that it’s « buy 1 get 1 free » when in reality it was -50% on everything.

Really interesting and such a impressive place to visit the camera obscura is amazing how clear the image is as and being able to turn the camera difrent directions and get to look across the bridge with it and seeing people drive and walk across really clear.
For the best image it's better to visit on a sunny day.
There is lots of steps wich some may fined difficult so bare that in mind when planning your visit.

Incredible views, so much history on the city, the camera and locals. The camera obscura is amazing. On a quiet day you can have the room to yourself and really experience it. So cheap as well for the experience (only £2.50pp or £4 to go to Giants Cave too). Giant's cave is a tricky trip down but all worth it when you get to the view at the other end. A really great little experience for all the family.

I love the Camera Obscura and have visited many times over the years, it's a real Bristol treat. However, on this occasion, a bright sunny day visiting with my young daughter the camera didn't work for the simple reason that the glass was too dirty. The lady at the counter feigned surprise when I told her, but since it was 1.30pm in the afternoon on a busy bank hol I think it highly unlikely I was the first to point out that the thing was out of working order. She was still merrily charging everyone and sending them up the long staircase to disappointment. Boo!

The visit itself was nice, but the specific camera part was distinctly underwhelming. Even in the dark could hardly see anything, I note a review below saying it was dirty and there was an old lady saying it was all wrong so u003cshrugsu003e. Nice window views I guess.

it was so boring, I am one of the children who went and I am 14. I do say I did learn a lot but it was mostly really boring because children in this era are not into these kind of stuff because we are more energetic. This place is a good place for a school trip because I know in some schools there is a thing called Photography GCSEs and this would be a good place for a school trip to learn more about cameras and the history of photography. Parents on the other hand would find it nice and pleasant for their children to do this but they are just acting. This is what children do so the parents don't have to be miserable. It is an amazing view and a good place for photos though I have to admit

The Camera Oscura is one of the best pieces of Bristol Victoriana, in my opinion. Pick a brighter day to visit it, so that it works really well. You will be rewarded with a great experience and a talking piece for how cameras work: A mirror on a revolving periscope projects images of of the surrounding views onto a large dish in the centre of the room.

A must-see and also a must-take-the-kids if they have any scientific interests at all!

Excellent views of Bristol. The camera obscura requires a very clear day for it to be worth using however.
The Giants Cave in the 'basement' is definitely not going to fit any giants any time soon and if you dislike tunnels or heights you don't want to try traversing the passageway. Quite an impressive view of the Avon at the end though.

If you like me enjoy nothing more than hiding in corners you may be disappointed. Just like siblings Stedman, Lorraine, Denise, Doris and Delroy Pearson it’s a ‘Five Star’ from me.
