Stayed in barn owl on the 19/04/19 for a week, the weather was fabulous but we were so disappointed in the cottage, the furniture was stained and uncomfortable as it was at least12yrs old and very tired, we used cushions off single chair on the settee as it was so old and not comfy, I requested a king size bed as was offered in the advert and was given two singles pushed together, the door hit the bed as you went in and I was unable to get into bed because of my disability and when I questioned this with the owner she asked what would I like her to do, she then offered to remove the bedroom door so the beds could be moved so I could comfortably get into the bed, the walk in shower room was very dark, drab and needed a good clean, the long light string pull was filthy, I had to reach up to use cleaner part of it. There was no back door so to get to the back garden we had to go past next door to get into garden with my dogs, there was no seating for outside only one lounger parked in the kitchen with the ironing board and hoover as there was no storage, so even though the weather was fab we couldn't sit outside in the garden to enjoy it, on arrival there was a notice to say there would be a power cut from 9am to 3pm, we had to go out for the day as we couldn't use any appliances for even a cuppa, which was not ideal, who want to be out and about for 6hrs when your disabled ? Not once did I see the owner in that week, not to meet and greet or to ask if we were enjoying our stay, and I'm still waiting for the extra coathangers which I asked for !. Needless to to say we will not be returning to stay there, even though we loved Norwich and surrounding areas.
