The station is a complete disaster. The trains are not late most of the time but they are always overcrowded and often dirty. The staff are unhelpful and there are far too many people crammed into the station at any time. It's difficult to get around as it is too small and there is never enough space for everyone. The air quality is terrible. I avoid this station at all costs.

Borough is a fantastic place to visit with many major attractions including: The Tate Modern art gallery, Borough Market, Mercato Metropolitano (street food, drink and music) and the Guys Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garrett. Plus the area has a great vibe from the bars along Borough High Street to the rejuvenated Elephant and Castle. There is something different and interesting to see around every corner.

Perpetually closed but they don't share that info with google journey planner. I have been several times after planning my journey and was met with a closed gate.
Worst Station in london without a doubt. Consequences to follow from me a disgruntled commuter.

Mostly crowded and busy with people going and coming every minute. But it's also one of the busiest train stations in london.

I recently collapsed in one of the lifts due to heart condition; the station staff dealt with the situation both expertly and in a very kindly way. I was soon in the care of the ambulance service and on my way to hospital
Couldn't have been dealt with better and it demonstrated to me how important station staff are

My local tube, I'm biased in my high opinion for it as it's so close to me but I always enjoy arriving here at this small station. Beware that arriving from on southbound trains there is no step-free access and chances are one of the two lifts to street level will probably be out of order.
