Nice little hidden gem which doesn’t seem to get many visitors. Located a short walk (10/15mins) outside of Pitlochry or a 5 min drive.There is parking for 1/2 cars just inside gates and then it’s a short walk up farm road. Located on a working farm so watch out for farm traffic. Access to stone is via a steep staircase but it’s worth the climb. Also site of what looks like family graves. Stone is behind glass and covered for its protection with a good information plaque.

Lovely wee hidden treasure, the stone is located up a steep set of steps so not great if you have mobility issues. Parking seemed to be in the farm yard at the bottom of the hill. The stone is protected behind glass there is a information Notice to explain. There is a lovely wee private cemetery located next to the stone.

A tucked away treasure. We were the only visitors at the time. The Stone is now encased in glass to preserve it. Although it does make it more difficult to photograph, it is worth the visit.

The Dunfallandy Stone is a Class II Pictish Stone aged around 600-843 during the Christian-Pictish era. On one side of the stone depicts a stag, Jonah being swallowed by a fish-tailed Ketos (an early Christian version of the biblical whale), two cherubim, and large Celtic cross with circular cross in the middle and on the other side is an enthroned couple, a horseman, several Pictish beasts, crescent moon and V-Rod, iron working tools, and mirrored Carnyx the Celtic wind instrument.

It's definitely worth a visit. The glass that surrounds the stone could do with a clean so that you can see what you are visiting.

Historic standing stone. Engraving is quite worn but the information sign explains a lot. Access by private farm track

Ok to find located approx. 5 to 10 mins by car from city center. It is inside of a farm and you have to park after the gate. There is no proper parking spot. We walked up (3 to 4mins walking). The stone is isolated from the environment by some glass. Which makes it difficukt to take good pictures due to the reflections. But all in all it is a beautifull thing to see. It is 1200 years old and still impressive. Approx. 1.6m high and 60 to 70cm wide.
