I was totally shocked by the staff attitude today. All.I wished to buy was a day planner. We were all in great spirits as I went to get the purchase completed. Noticing a lovely card on the counter, I asked the lady at the cashier desk if they had another. I got a very stern NO.and she roughly pointed at the card shelves. She proceeded to run the payment and upon enquiring if they had another in stock as opposed to the one on display, the colleague jumps in and he roughly adds that he would get one for me in a huff walks off. When I asked why they did not offer this in the first place, he got very defensive and added that "they give the customer what they want!!!" Upon enquiring how would I know that they had other NEWER Copies, I was informed that "I WAS ABUSING MY POWER as a customer." Evidently, that is one of their induction chapters.

As a frequent book lover and patron of WHSmith... the treatment today left a lot to be desired. If desperate, I will try the team at Zero 06 Mall - Sharjah who have indeed been through the right training

I would suggest you borrow a leaf from the establishment on the 2nd Floor who have a positive and professional culture towards their customers.

Good shop, but only few varieties of products
Customer service is poor compared to the brand
