Well, put on your Sunday best, or wear whatever you like, and buckle up for this divine review of Connect Church, the holy hotspot found in Wadebridge, UK. This God-loving haven is as easy to find as a lost coin in a sofa cushion, making it a piece of heaven on Earth for folks in Cornwall.
As accessible as Noah's Ark, the Connect Church is as well-maintained as the Garden of Eden pre-Apple-munching. It's wheelchair-friendly, with ramps smoother than a baby's bottom and a lift that ascends like Elijah on a chariot of fire.
Car parking, though council-run and with a newly raised summer tariff, is plentiful as loaves and fishes at the feeding of the 5000. But don't be a Judas; pay your fair due, will ya? I personally shell out £3 for 3 hours to let my spiritual battery recharge without worrying about earthly things like parking fines.
Since my migration to these sacred shores just 5 weeks ago, I’ve found a place that feels like the Promised Land. Pastor Drew, with the affability of a heavenly host, runs the show but is as approachable as a friendly angel.
They rotate preachers like the hands on a clock, each delivering the word of God in their unique style. The Worship team is no different. Reuben, a man so in tune with the Holy Spirit, he practically vibrates, is a particular favourite of mine. Not that we should pick favourites, it’s all about the Big Man upstairs, but a few familiar, friendly faces never hurt!
Now, this might come as a shock, but churches aren't just about the serious stuff. Post-sermon, there's a spot of tea, coffee, biscuits, and the age-old concoction of Wilk (water + milk, a Nan-approved beverage). No judgement here; you do you. It's served free of charge downstairs in the cafe.
If you can't make it in person, the Holy Spirit has modernized. Connect Church broadcasts live via Facebook and YouTube every Sunday. You can also catch up on past services. No more 'the devil made me do it' excuses for missing a service.
They're a Pentecostal church with an appetite for connecting with Jesus, each other, and the community. They're affiliated with the Assemblies of God GB and the Evangelical Alliance, which is a feather in their holy cap. Safeguarding is a priority, as it should be when there are seraphim involved.
If you're a new sheep in the fold and want a sneak peek at what to expect, they've got you covered. You can join them for pre-service prayer, worship, communion, and even Muddy Church, whatever that is.
The Connect Church isn't just about us adults. They've got provisions for kids, including a crèche and Sunday sessions, and Pastor Peter seems to be doing a stellar job leading the little lambs.
Connect Church also lives up to its name when it comes to, well, connecting. Their team is as varied as Noah's Ark, including pastors, prayer leaders, and even an Outreach & Evangelism chap. All these folks ensure that the church isn't just a building, but a living, breathing community.
So folks, if you're looking for a place to connect, a place where the atmosphere is filled with the love of Jesus, hop over to Connect Church. You'll leave feeling blessed and highly caffeinated! ????????????????????
