I personally went to ask for some details on an account that was recently closed and the front counter staff basically said there's nothing he can do and offered nothing other than a generic number to call which is the number you generally call before you go in person. I told him I had already called beforehand and they told me to go in person to a branch or customer service centre. He wasn't very friendly about it but I wouldn't say he was overly rude either. Basically a waste of time.
What's worse is that, without any advice or suggestion from this customer service centre, I subsequently went to a proper branch and they dealt with and resolved my query. This suggests staff are perhaps not properly trained here. A friend who tried to close an account in person also said this customer service centre is useless for that task and to go to a proper branch.
The moral is unless you have a straight forward request, you are probably better off going to a proper branch rather than wasting your time here who don't offer any useful solutions.

1. Once during a customer support call they BLOCKED my card stating that the information that I provided was wrong , later after a headache of 2 days they said that it was the mistake of the customer care advisor and they apologised for what happened !!!
2. They “ by mistake “ blocked my other account’s debit card instead of what was supposed to be blocked as the card was damaged. And I was literally stuck at the petrol station because they blocked a wrong card. When I called the customer care the lady said we apologise !!!!!!
Like seriously their staff is not trained at all so do yourself a favour and opt for other bank. Thank you.

This branch is a joke, particularly for an international bank like HSBC. It's the size of a shoebox and has no staff.
I will be taking my business elsewhere at the first opportunity.

Our first meeting was one month ago and our account is still not open.
We barely cannot understand what is wrong with their processing team. First time we understood the equipment just broke down (can happen, fair enough), but then we had to chase for a second meeting. After several email attempts, we received a reply and came back and were supposed to be contacted by the back office the day after. It’s now been 10 days and still zero follow up.
I was a client of HSBC in another country and never experienced something like this, the service was always top notch. I was expecting a much better service in Dubai, given the fact that IT IS DUBAI and not a third world country, but we are getting a third world customer service.
Still astonished by this level below mediocrity.

We waited for two hours the first time we went there, we had all the documents ready and after one hour meeting they told us that there is an issue in their system and sent us back home.
After MANY tentatives to get an update (because no one is never EVEN replying to us) they asked us to come back and start the whole process again.
After this second meeting, they were supposed to open our bank account the day after and we are still waiting since 10 days, no one is updating us/replying to us.
That's unbelievable. Shame on you HSBC.

They will probably win the race to the bottom among Dubai banks. This is a tiny branch with seating space for 7 people and a queue that extends 20+. Be prepared to wait 2 hours. There is no priority queue for Premier customers. They've got 2 employees in this "branch". I don't think they care about the reviews people post here.
