I was checking some reviews but I decided to eat here and very surprised.
Food is delicious the place very nice price not that crazy and the staff is very nice.
So is gonna be almost 5, cus the taste is amazing
Authentic seafood ????

Delicious Seafood - Excellent Service. Highly recommended.

First Dubai outlet of the near ubiquitous seafood chain from South Africa. We discovered OB first while living in South Africa (15+ yrs ago) and fell in love. It was a no-fail dependable option for fresh, high quality, delicious seafood at extremely reasonable prices. Our favorites included the calamari and the kingklip fish.

The prices here are higher but the food is nearly equally good.

08.10.2022 Tried Ocean Basket again after a few years since the first time we tried it (which was around 2014 if I recall it right) and my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the combo grilled shrimp and calamari served with rice and fries and the taste was superb. The serving was just right for the 2 of us. Grilled and cooked just right to our liking. The rice was buttery and tasted good. They serve complimentary bread with side sauces and I love each sauce. They also offered a refill of the bread. Also ordered the rice and shrimp balls and it was delish. the price I feel is just fine and reasonable. The service was quick and I didn’t expect it will be that quick. Staff are polite and attentive, and the manager also asked how the food was and we told everything was great. If we crave seafood, we will try to come back here.

Lovely restaurant, the order came quick and was delicious. The staff was very helpful with the recommendations and attentive, also the place is spacious and has lovely interior!

our food came fast and it was good ( 6/10) but it’s frozen food not fresh . Pricey especially if you upgrade the shrimps , almost double the price !

It was our first time at the Ocean Basket in MCC.
The ambience of the place gives you all the right vibes of a good seafood restaurant.
The numero uno rule of a seafood restaurant is to keep the food simple and must say that they have done a pretty good job at that.
You get to taste the freshness, the taste of the ocean on your platter.
With that being said and done, the service was a BIG letdown. Right from the service to the follow-ups, was a disappointment.
Sadly we were not the only people complaining as the couple on the table beside us seems to have the same concerns.
Towards the end, the restaurant Manager took time to hear us out and hoping not to have the same experience on our next visit.

The place was big mainly empty compared to other restaurants. The food came fast and price are not too bad. However I was not to happy with my fish so this the 3 stars. The platter I ordered for 1 had good prawns, nicely grilled calamari, rice was smooth butter. But the cream dowry fish which I had no clue was the selected fish in the platter was not either the right fish to have fried or just something wrong. I even tried complaining but no point had to leave half of it.

We visited when it was very busy, service was a little frenzied because of the rush, but staff were courious and friendly. They brought out bread and dips before our meal while we waited which was a nice touch. We ordered the fish and chips, goid sized portion and the fish was delicious, light batter and not greasy. Could have done with condiments on the table but overall a pleasant experience.
