Hired a day boat, and it was definitely one of the best Broads hires we've been on. Excellent time was had on board.

Great place to hire a day boat. We had a small boat for 4 hours, 2 people and 1 dog. Enough time to explore and stop for a lovely lunch. Very clear instructions for the boat and how to behave on the river and Broads for us landlubbers! Life jackets provided. Kingfishers galore as well.

Hired a boat on Monday for 3 hours. The boat itself was very basic, noisy & the driver's seat uncomfortable & hot with the windshield limiting the breeze on a warm day, but it was very enjoyable & did not break down or sink which was quite handy!

Had need to call a couple of times before the hire & received excellent service, as we did on the day. Very helpful & polite.

Would wholeheartedly recommend, but a word of caution nothing to do with the boat yard. Take note of where you are going. There are a couple of areas where you can go in multiple directions & it's easy to be confused where did I come from on the return journey. One time I would have taken the wrong choice, but luckily my wife has a better sense of direction than I do. Watch out for the Swans!

A masterclass in customer service! We cannot recommend Simpson Boatyard highly enough. The boat we hired was excellent but what set them apart was the customer service support - nothing was too much for them. Our group put them through the wringer - multiple time changes, a last minute addition requiring a boat upgrade, a two-year-old and a pregnant passenger. They handled it all brilliantly and were helpful and supportive the entire time. Luke was particularly amazing, smiling and friendly throughout all the chaos!

Booked a boat for 4 hrs. The forecast was heavy rain, we were told if it got bad and we came back. We would get a voucher for a few hrs. Off we set and the heavens opened, we put up the canopy. The boat leaked like a sieve. With no screen wiper and the condensation, it was not enjoyable or what we deemed safe. We had an 8yr old and the diesel fumes were not good. We returned and were told as other boats hadn't, there would be no goodwill voucher. As locals who were planning to go back and use their other facilities, we will now take our business elsewhere.

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful setting for a weave around the broads. We were a family of four with young children, and it was nice that the staff took time to tell us of wildlife we might see. Would definitely recommend for a family day out and will hopefully return.

Had an absolute blast taking a boat out for a spin with my pup. Really helpful staff & they even provide life jackets for dogs! 10/10, lovely atmosphere and views along the Norfolk Broads

Awful customer service, extremely rude staff,

From the get go when we arrived we were very respectful and the manager Christine I believe is her name, straight away began with a hostile attitude and threatened to stop us from going on the boat, even though we were complying with what she had asked of us.

We had also been made aware they would be patrolling on an unmarked boat which made us feel like we were being watched the whole time and put the vibe off all day. We felt as though they had an automatic dislike to us and our group although we were paying customers and very respectful to the staff and the boat.

When attempting to leave one of the staff joked saying “let’s see if you get your deposit back” another rude and unprovoked comment which we did not appreciate.
