I booked the car in June.
They took 900€ deposit- pretty normal.
Now in SEPTEMBER I still didn’t get my deposit back and my credit card charged me. There is no way to contact them, because no one is answering their emails. My lawyer is going to handle this.

And I have asked for cancellation of the booking and return my money back in full and that it’s shouldn’t be a full refund but they will do it as gesture from them ????????u200d♂️, they advise that it will take 3 days in which I’ll be already out of the city?!
Poor customer service and problem solving and they do not really care about the customer

I had booked with another car company that was much cheaper but wouldn't let me drive to Oman, I checked the website for thrifty and it said to drive to Oman I just had to email them prior and get permission and pay extra. I called them to make sure this was correct and there wouldn't be any issues. The person on the phone said yes no problem, once you book all you have to do is email and pay the fee. Turns out only certain cars categories that they let go over the border but don't feel the need to tell you this when you call up or put it on the website. Ended up paying more than double what I would have with the other company, which I couldn't re-book with because they were sold out.
The man at the counter also tried to tell me I didn't have insurance. Had to pull my invoice out and show him the insurance from my online booking. He still tried to tell me I didn't have insurance. After a while of him trying to sell me insurance, I said ok so what is this I was charged for if not insurance. He then finally admitted that yes I did have insurance we just wanted to sell me once with a lower excess.
Super dodgy company with employees who either are super incompetent and straight-up stupid or liars who try to fraud you. Given the attitude that comes with every interaction, I'm going with the latter.

Booked car for 2 days for a trip to Abu Dhabi which was easy enough to book online. However upon collection I was told there is no child seat available even though I had already been charged for it.
I was told by the guy at the counter don't worry we will refund you for the child seat, to which I told him so how do you expect me to drive this car with a 2 year old without one?!
I know taxis etc don't care about using them but if you are driving the law states children under 4 must use one.
So parents beware, if you have a young child and need a seat I would avoid, they will take the money then tell you it isn't available and cause you to have to go through another company on site.
I did get a full refund after a few days but even so I struggled to get a confirmation of this from them as I wasn't receiving their emails (checked the correct address and junk) and was told they couldn't print it out either which is ridiculous.

Two issues need to be solved. The pickup process was unnecessarily lengthy although I made the booking online, which included all my details and payment. The other thing is about their customer service. They never answered my calls during the rental. They didn't answer my messages on their app or through email. I am not sure how anyone would contact them in case of emergency!!
