About the National Center of Meteorology
Establishment of the center:
In 2007, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a decree by Federal Law No. (6) of 2007 establishing the National Center for Meteorology and Seismology.

Article (3):
The center aims to unify the source of meteorological and seismic information, monitor changes that occur in the atmosphere, and provide meteorological and seismic engineering services to all sectors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the country, in addition to exchanging data and information related to this goal at the regional and international levels, and in keeping with the development scientific research, and carrying out studies and research related to the center’s field of specialization.

The center is responsible for all the specializations related to the provision of meteorological services, seismic engineering services and what is related to them, which were practiced by the concerned authorities.
