I recently had the pleasure of renting a car from Alamo Rent a Car, and I must say, it was the best rental experience I have ever had. From start to finish, their service exceeded my expectations, and I can confidently say that I will never choose any other car rental company again.

At first, everything seemed to be going well. I was offered a replacement car and almost a replacement car. But they deposited 3000 AED into my debit card (for 5 days rental with full insurance) as I did not have a credit card at the time and the money was kept for over 60 days and when it came back I found it owed about 110$ . . . . Despite many attempts to deal with this, they say it is unnecessary. Eventually I figured out that the extra currency conversion that was needed was due. It should be noted that in other countries where I have rented, the fee is deducted from your local currency to eliminate unnecessary financial burden for buyers.

Another concern arose when they said I had received a speeding ticket. But official tickets, photographs, even receipts could not be produced, making the situation rather chaotic

I had recently my vacation in Abu Dhabi which was slated from 17-23 APR 2023. I decided to rent a car from Alamo | enterprise ren-a-car | National.

I was grateful to the staff, especially to Mr. Vincent. He was indeed very professional and made you feel comfortable and will enlighten you about road safety and possible violations that you might commit. Mr. Vincent made my rent-a-car experience a memorable one in Abu Dhabi going to Al Ain. I got a Ford Territory latest top model with a great deal.

Yes, there is a deposit that you have to make and it’s what you call pre-op, in my case and experience I immediately received the refund for just 4 days.

I highly recommend Alamo rent a car in Abu Dhabi Airport, Sky Plaza, and look for Mr. Vincent. And In sha Allah he will assist you very well.

Had a horrible experience although I rented before from this company and it was a pleasant one with the employee Omar. Today I was acquainted with another employee Adnan, he made things very complicated and was not aware of the uae & gcc laws although I asked in-front of him all the other car rental companies if it was ok to rent out to gcc members and they explained how it was ok and it’s actually more lenient since they are considered as Emirati locals but he still insisted on not renting it out and made it SUPER complicated. ITS BETTER TO RENT FROM THE OTHER COMPANIES IN ABU DHABI AIRPORT.

They dont have the car that you booked, so they will force you to more expensive ones. You “just” need to accept insurance (which will DOUBLE the rental price).
Be aware of this tactics.

Nobody pick up the phone, there was more than a moth no refunding received. I want my blocked amount back!!!!!!!!

Beautiful course overlooking St Andrews. Superbly maintained allowing play all year it's a fantastic golf challenge with stunning views!
The staff are brilliant, pro shop and restaurant, can't do enough for you!
I would recommend getting to your tee time early to enjoy a cooked breakfast which is delicious. Afterwards...take your pic...it's all delicious!

An excellent course laid out slightly inland and on a hillside. Long and at times, tricky but a great course to play. Staff and facilities are top class. Great views of St Andrews as well.

Fantastic facility, great course, in great condition even after a period of very heavy rain. All greens true, fast and in great condition. Staff at shop couldn't have been nicer and very helpful and welcoming.

Great set up, staff friendly and helpful. Food and beverage were just what the doctor ordered after long walk around the wet course.

An interesting cause with good facilities.
Staff were engaging
Carts, with GPS.
Hire clubs were current model titlist.
Good bar and menu for afters.
Cause presentation sometimes could be better, but still a great day out.

Absolutely beautiful course, a round was included with my stay at the Old Course hotel and it was such a great experience. A transfer and buggy was included and I hired a set of clubs as couldn't bring my own. It was a full top of the range Titleist set which were amazing to play with. All the staff (especially the pro in the shop) were so friendly. As for course, I can't recommend it highly enough, challenging but fair and the views were amazing. We'll be back for sure.

Duke’s is a nice course. It’s not a Scottish links style course at all though. In fact, it felt like any course I’ve played in Wisconsin or the Pacific Northwest. Nothing special.

Our only inland course on the 5 day golf trip to St Andrews and it was a nice balance in comparison to the links golf we played.

I can certainly see why its rated so well, the facilities and course layout are great but sadly we played at a period were the greens we under going a lot of work and for me it really detracted from what could have been a really awesome day. Nevertheless I left feeling like I wanted to come back rather than annoyed that condition was not great, for the time of year its acceptable. I would definitely recommend putting this Course on you list if you are making a short trip to St Andrews and want to experience some inland golf as well as the links.
